Painters in Park City

Park City is about half an hour up Parleys Canyon from us, and we are up there regularly. Mountain homes with wood siding and heavy trim, Old Town cottages with historic district rules, condos in Deer Valley and Canyons Village, and family homes in Pinebrook, Jeremy Ranch and Silver Springs. The altitude changes how we schedule and what we use.

Painting homes in Park City

Park City homes are wood. Cedar and fir siding, log, timber trim and big decks, most of it stained rather than painted, and all of it fighting sun at 7,000 feet. Old Town is small historic homes on steep lots where exterior changes go through the city. The newer neighborhoods around Kimball Junction have fiber cement and stucco with HOA palettes. A lot of the homes are second homes or rentals run by property managers, and we are used to coordinating through them.

Exterior painting in Park City

UV at this elevation is brutal on wood. Stain fades and clear coats break down in a few seasons on the south side. We clean, sand, and apply a stain that soaks in, and we tell you honestly how often it will need a refresh on the sun side versus the shade side. The exterior season is short, usually June into September, so we book Park City exteriors early.

Interior painting in Park City

Winter is interior season in Park City. Vaulted great rooms, timber trim, condos between rental seasons, and whole-home repaints on second homes while the owners are away. We work with your property manager on access and send photos when the job is done.

Park City painting questions

Do you really travel to Park City?

Yes, regularly. It is half an hour from our side of the valley and we schedule Park City jobs in blocks so the drive is never the reason for a delay.

Should the wood on my house be stained or painted?

Most Park City wood should be stained so it can breathe and the finish can be refreshed without stripping. If it has already been painted, we talk through the options. We will not put the wrong product on it just to get the job.

Can you work through my property manager?

Yes. We coordinate access, scheduling and sign-off through managers all the time, and we send photos when the work is done.

Do you give free estimates?

Yes. Joe comes out, looks at the job, and gives you a written price. No charge and no obligation.

How soon can you start in Park City?

It changes with the season. Call or text and we will give you a straight answer on the next open date.
